Therefore wait ye upon me saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: For my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, To pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall Be devoured with the fire of my jealousy. Zephaniah 3:8
Happy New Year Brethren, it truly is a joy to have a little more time to be a witness and to share our testimony to a lost world. There are so many people walking in darkness, and we have been given the grave responsibility to carry the gospel message of Jesus Christ to them. The above-mentioned verse is a great reminder of things to come. This verse ought to embolden us to redeem the time we have wisely, to labor, to disseminate the gospel wherever we may be. Time is short, we must work while we have the day for nighttime is on the horizon. Armageddon is coming, God is going to unleash his wrath upon this earth, but before that happens is the rapture of the church. What a great promise given Jesus Christ took God’s wrath for us on the Cross of Calvary when he became sin for us and because of this we will not experience the wrath of God only the Jews who won’t repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ along with the Gentiles of world. This ministry work is going forward in God’s timing I’m around 30% of the support that is needed. I do want to once again thank all the supporting churches for trusting the Lord and his faithfulness. Except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it Psalms 127:1a. The hardest thing for a missionary is to wait on the Lord. I thank him for the patience he has taught me. This coming year I have many meetings set up and still setting up meetings to present the church plant in Holbrook Arizona. I’m looking for the grace of God to bring me to 80% total this year, please help me pray this support in. God is able to do exceeding abundantly, above that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. Eph. 3:20. This summer I will be making a western trip starting in El Paso Texas presenting this mission, then off to Los Crues NM, then Phoenix AZ to a church planters meeting along with other meetings in the Phoenix Area. After Pheonix I will be up in the Show Low area, then making my way to Apache Creek NM with Pastor Lang and the Youth & Deaf Camp. One of the needs is property at this point I’m looking at two different properties one is 1.61 acres $49,500. This property is in one of the areas of Holbrook I thought would be a great location. The other property is off business route 40, 0.98 acres $75,000 this is a great location as well right on the main drag with a lot of visibility. Please pray with me and the Lord’s leading, pray that I will have good health this year to accomplish what’s ahead for the glory of God. If you would like to give for the purchase of property, please send it and designate for purchase of property. God speed.
In Christ’ Love,
Bro. Ward D. Gillett
This summer has been a joy I’ve been traveling presenting the mission work in Holbrook AZ. I’ve had a chance to see six souls saved three by which I was involved with Pastor Beckles in Newport, AR and Pastor Eurling in El Paso Texas. Pastor Chad Adams of Bible Baptist Church of Abbeville came with me in the first week we first stopped at Lighthouse Baptist Church Newport with Pastor Beckles and his wife, children, and the fine folks there to give an update of the work. Then we traveled to El Paso, TX where we stopped off Sunday for the morning service at Victory Baptist Church and I was able to preach the morning service and the afternoon service after they served a wonderful, wonderful meal. What a joy that was to present the work and testimony. Then from there we went to West El Paso to Westside Temple Baptist Church with Pastor
Eurling and the folks there. Just before preaching the lights went out and I was able to sing a song and preach with a flashlight and give the presentation of Way of the Cross Baptist Church in Holbrook, AZ, this is a new church plant. Tuesday morning, I traveled to the airport to let Pastor Chad Adams catch a plane home. Try to anyway I went soul winning with Pastor Eurling, brother Wesley and some folks there at Westside Temple Baptist six souls were saved what a joy. Later that week I had traveled to Deming, NM where I’ve been for the past few days with the brethren, Steven Sykes and son this has been a real joy I’ve had opportunity to set up a website and also to have a testimony track made to pass out to people when I am witnessing, and then on top of that some really good eating and preaching I was able to teach Sunday school Sunday morning. Last Thursday evening I presented the work and updated the folks on the progress that God has made for this missionary. My prayer is that you continue to pray for me and pray that the Lord would open doors that need to be open closed doors that need to be closed. That he would continue to give me good health and the very words to speak, kind words, words of love, and just show forth his praise and glorify him for he is worthy of all praise and glory.
In Christ love,
